This is a transformation of a former nursing home into sustainable senior and student apartments. With the transformation, the Elisabeth Otter-Knoll Foundation anticipates the ‘extramuralization’ of care. The apartments are life-resistant, so that residents can maintain control over their own lives for as long as possible. Students can offer support in this construction. They are a good neighbour and sometimes a carer.
The target group of this foundation is characterized by a social background and a lifestyle in which involvement and interest in society, fellow human beings and culture are central.
