Peter Oomen and his wife Marja have an organic livestock farm in Oirschot (near Boxtel, the Netherlands) on the edge of the 'Kampina' and the 'Oisterwijkse Vennen' nature reserves. Oomen manages 1100 hectares of nature reserve for the Natuurmonumenten foundation and lets his suckler cows graze here. It is a unique situation: the cows can graze freely on the 1,100 hectares of the nature reserve, which comprises a total of 3500 hectares and is entirely accessible to visitors. In 2004, the company further expanded its activities with the construction of horse stables and apartments. Visitors can now use the spacious apartments for overnight stays in the beautiful nature reserve known for its extensive flora and fauna. In short, the area is an ideal place for walkers, cyclists or horse riders.
